The Italian luxury leather goods brand, based in Bologna, has announced that it will pay for Covid-19 tests for unvaccinated employees who request it, as the mandatory Green Pass launches in Italy.

The Covid-19 Green Pass is a certificate which all workers will be required to show from Friday October 15, automatically available for all Italians who have received at least one shot of an approved vaccine.

Unvaccinated workers can still get a Green Pass by getting tested for coronavirus or with a certificate of recovery if they have contracted the virus within six months. If they opt for testing over a vaccination, they will be required to repeat the test every 48 hours, and for most this will be at their own expense.

Piquadro employees will have their tests paid for by the company, an announcement that comes concurrent with a financial update, showing that the brand grew turnover in the first half of the 2021 financial year by 31.3%.
