Leather organisations respond to proposed EU deforestation law

Following a law proposed by the European Commission prevent the import of goods to European Union (EU) countries linked to deforestation, the industry has responded with criticism on the Commission’s understanding of the leather supply chain. However, NGO Solidaridad says the leather industry has to play its part in tackling this issue.
