The fashion brand has bought a factory in Otopenia, near Bucharest, Romania, which it plans to use for the production of footwear for children and men.

The factory in Otopeni was initially run by an Italian entrepreneur until Musette took over the entire factory, including equipment and machinery. The company reportedly has two additional factories in Huși and Bucharest.

Production began in October and, although the factory has a low production capacity at present at around 2,500-3,000 pairs of shoes a month, the company aims to reach 6-7,000 by next year.

Cristina Bâtlan, founder of Musette, said: "The initial investment reached about €1 million and we will certainly invest more money over time as we increase the production capacity.”
