UNIDO awards tanneries for environmental innovation

The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Kanpur Leather Development Project has awarded two tanneries with the newly created Innovation Award (INNA), which has the objective of encouraging industries to improve innovation in the field of environmental compliance, namely the working environment (occupational safety and health), water and waste reduction, and carbon saving.
