Vans launches leather shoe collection with Karl Lagerfeld

Iconic designer and Fashion Director for luxury brand Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, has collaborated with the California based manufacturer known for its skateboarding shoes to launch an exclusive line which includes leather.

To be unveiled at the upcoming edition of Bread and Butter by Zalando festival taking place in Berlin, Germany, on September 1-3, 2017, the capsule collection is said to feature six interpretations of classic Vans models, including the Sk8-Hi model, the Old Skool model in laceless leather with a lettering on top, as well as the Classic Slip-On in black leather featuring the letter “K”. A leather backpack has also been designed alongside a line of t-shirts showcasing Karl Lagerfeld's portrait wearing a checkered tie.

The collection is to be commercially available to the public as from September 7.
