Leather buyers, designers and stylists in Seoul will have the opportunity to discover leather produced in Brazil at the three-day Brazilian Leather Showroom event next month. The activity takes place between April 3-5, and presents an exhibition of leathers developed in Brazil, as well as matchmaking with specially selected buyers and coverage with the local local press.

The Brazilian Leather Showroom is an initiative of the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB), through the Brazilian Leather project and with support from the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

The companies that will take part in the event are Courovale, Fuga Couros, JBS Couros, Nova Kaeru and Romeu Couros. On April 3, a happy hour welcomes press and Brazilian executives from 6pm at the Seoul Partners House – a design hotel that will host all Brazilian Leather Showroom activities. Besides strengthening relations with local press, the event will also present a student from the Hongik University with a trip do Inspiramais, in São Paulo – the prize is the result of a competition that invited students to develop fashion articles exclusively made with leather produced in Brazil, judged by fashion designer Ronaldo Fraga and CICB innovation consultant Mauricio Medeiros.

Between April 4-5, the Brazilian Leather Showroom will open from 10am and a series of visits already scheduled from buyers from the Korean fashion, interior design and automotive industries have already been planned.

The Brazilian Leather Showroom event in Seoul takes place just after the country’s participation at APLF MM&T, in Hong Kong, therefore optimising investment and logistics for participating Brazilian tanneries.
