Worldwide beef production was up in 2018

According to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), global beef production in 2018 was estimated at 336.4 million tonnes, up + 1.2% on 2017, mainly led by the U.S, EU and Russia, but partially offset by a decline in China and stagnation in Brazil, two of the world's largest meat producers.
